The 8th Fiesta Internacional del Teatro San Martin de Caracas, (Fiesta!2007), an encounter dedicated to professionals, community and alternative theaters will take place from December 1st to 8th, 2007 in Caracas, Venezuela.

FIESTA 2007! is a competitive festival and will recognize the best performances with eight special prizes. An special jury will give awards for the following categories: Best Performance, Best Group, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Set Design.

FIESTA 2007! will be held in the Teatro San Martin de Caracas cultural center, which includes two stages: a main theater with 400 seats (TSMC) and an experimental theater (Textoteatro Theater) with 100 seats. FIESTA 2007! will provide food and lodging for participating groups until 8 people during the whole time of the Festival. TSMC is a cultural theater center located in a working class area of the city.

Due to budget restrictions, FIESTA 2007! can't help with the flights fares to Caracas. But, FIESTA 2007! will feature all public and private sponsors which support the participation of your group in our event in all promotional materials. Also, during FIESTA2007!, we?ll hold the THEATRE/STORE, a venue with serveral directors from International Festivals around the world ready to recieve all the information about your group and performance. FIESTA 2007! will have several directors and programmers for international theaters and Festivals around the world. See the website for application form and further details in English and Spanish. Deadline is 30th May but groups may be selected earlier so you are advised to get your application in now!
